Blake Shelton To Launch New Encore Live Drive-In Concert Series With Gwen Stefani, Trace Adkins

Blake Shelton will help launch the new Encore Drive-In Nights concert series with a special performance on July 25 featuring Gwen Stefani and Trace Adkins. Tickets for the show go on sale July 14 via Ticketmaster for $114.99 per vehicle.

“This is such a great way to enjoy music with your family and friends and stay safe,” Shelton said in a statement. “I’m excited we’re getting the chance to perform a concert for fans, and we’re going to go back and play old hits like ‘Austin,’ newer songs like ‘God’s Country’ and we might even introduce something brand new!”

The one-night only show filmed specifically for the July 25 event will include performances, interviews and storytelling from Shelton and his special guests. The event is put on by Encore Live, the production company behind Garth Brooks’ June 27 concert held at 300 drive-in theaters. The success of Brooks’ concert, where the country star entertained over 350,000 fans across North America, inspired the company to launch the new series.

MORE FROM FORBES: Young Band, Whiskey Myers Help Launch Texas Series

The country genre has been an early adopter to drive-in concerts. In May, Keith Urban hosted the first drive-in show in Tennessee for health care workers. The following month, Eli Young Band, Whiskey Myers, Pat Green, Josh Abbott Band and Kevin Fowler took part in ticketed drive-in concerts held June 4-7 at the Globe Life Field Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Meanwhile, Alan Jackson partnered with Pepsi to host his own two-night drive-in shows in Alabama.

This weekend, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker and Jon Pardi will take part in Live From The Drive-In, Live Nation’s first drive-in concert series in three different cities throughout the U.S. As artists continue to find new ways to connect with fans during the coronavirus pandemic, the drive-in concert is becoming more common with acts like Garth Brooks seeing the need firsthand.

"Watching people all night from coast to coast, in Canada and here in the U.S., laughing, dancing, and singing, made me smile," said Brooks of his June 27 drive-in event with Encore Live. "It reminded me how much I miss the crazy, happy, and unpredictable life we lead as entertainers. For one night, things seemed...right.”

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
